Astor Piazzolla takes us on a sensual and creative journey to Argentina. The bandoneon player and composer revolutionised Tango Argentino and created Tango Nuevo from the mid-1950s onwards - his name is mentioned in the same breath as this style. But this art form brought a lot of unrest into his life: Traditionalists threatened him because he dared to change the original sounds. At the same time, his career made him a national hero. Classical Argentino was no longer danceable in the conventional sense, but something new, exciting, groundbreaking was born.
